Alright... You talked me into it. I'm doing a lot work over SSH these days and picking up some VIM-fu -- but, come to think of it, I should give emacs a go. I attempt to be well rounded -- not tied to any OS or tools or whatever.
It seems that many people are steered more by habit than actual functionality.
I actually use both, vim is for really quick edits, and emacs is when i need some of it's more advanced scripting abilities.
